Refunds and cancelling.
The free day needs no card, so nothing can charge you by accident. If you did pay and want it back, the store that took the money gives it back. Here is exactly how to ask.
The short version
The free day comes first
Every new reader gets a day of everything Pro does. It asks for no card, and nothing can charge you when it ends. The app simply goes back to the free plan until you choose to subscribe.
That is deliberate. The most common refund request any app gets is “I forgot the trial was ending.” Here there is nothing to forget.
Where a purchase happens
Fasih Pro is sold as an in-app purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those stores are the merchant of record: they take the payment, hold the card details, issue the receipt, and decide refunds under their own published policies.
We cannot refund a store purchase ourselves. We have no access to your payment method and no button on our side that returns the money. What we can do is help you make the request, and back it up if the store asks us.
Asking Apple for a refund
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account.
- Choose Request a refund, pick a reason, then select the Fasih purchase.
- Submit. Apple usually decides within 48 hours, and pays back to the original payment method.
You can do the same from an iPhone: Settings → your name → Media & Purchases → View Account → Purchase History, then tap the purchase. Apple's own policy is the one that applies, and it is more generous when you ask soon after the charge.
Asking Google for a refund
- Within 48 hours of the charge, open Google Play order history, find Fasih and choose Request a refund. These are usually automatic.
- After 48 hours, use the same page and choose Report a problem; Google reviews it, normally within a few days.
- You can also write to us and we will pass a supporting note to Google.
Your statutory right to cancel
If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you normally have 14 days to change your mind about a digital purchase. There is a specific exception: where you asked for the content to be supplied immediately and acknowledged that you would lose the right to cancel, that right ends once supply begins, which is what happens when a subscription unlocks Pro the moment you buy it.
In practice the stores apply a policy at least as generous as this, so start with the store. Your statutory rights over faulty or misdescribed digital content are separate, last much longer, and are set out in the terms.
Cancelling a subscription
Cancelling stops the next renewal. It is not the same as a refund, and it does not take Pro away immediately. You keep it until the end of the term you have paid for.
iPhone
Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Fasih → Cancel Subscription.
Android
Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Fasih → Cancel.
The app takes you straight to your store's own subscription manager, so there is no in-app cancel flow to slow you down. There is no retention offer, no “are you sure”, and no survey on the way out.
When Pro ends you drop back to the free plan, which has ads. Your saved words stay yours: they and your review history are kept, and are all there again if you subscribe later.
Renewals and price changes
Pro renews at the end of each term (once a year on the yearly plan, once a month on the monthly one) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before that term ends. Your store charges within 24 hours of the renewal date and emails you a receipt.
If the price ever goes up, your store asks you to confirm before it charges the new amount, so an increase can never be taken silently. If a renewal was charged and you did not want it, ask the store straight away; both Apple and Google routinely refund an unwanted renewal reported quickly.
If the store says no
Write to us at thecreativejnd@gmail.com with your receipt or order number and what happened. We will look at it properly. If the request is reasonable (the app was broken for you, a feature was not as described, or a renewal was clearly unwanted), we will support your case with the store and, where we can, put it right ourselves with an extension of Pro or a direct payment.
When we refund directly
Some situations are ours to fix, not the store's. We will refund the unused part of a term you have paid for if:
- we withdraw Fasih, or stop operating it, during a term you have paid for;
- we remove or materially reduce a Pro feature so that the plan is substantially less than what you bought.
Refunds are calculated on the unused part of the term remaining (whole months on the yearly plan, whole days on the monthly one) and go back to the payment method that made the purchase, through the store where that is possible.
